What is Open Contact?

An invitation to think about what it could mean for humanity to openly encounter extraterrestrial civilizations, and how we might meet that possibility with curiosity rather than fear.

The starting point

Not just a sighting.
A new relationship.

For Starkind, Open Contact means the possibility of openly acknowledged interaction between humans and extraterrestrial civilizations. It is a broader idea than witnessing an unexplained object in the sky.

It raises profoundly human questions: How would our understanding of ourselves change? What would we want to learn? How could we respond with cooperation, humility, and compassion?

We explore these possibilities as an independent creative project. Our curiosity does not require anyone to agree with a particular explanation or prediction.

Questions, clearly considered

A few useful distinctions.

01

Is Open Contact the same as disclosure?

Not quite. Disclosure generally refers to bringing information into public view, including information about unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). Open Contact goes further: it imagines the possibility of openly recognized interaction. A UAP report, by itself, is not proof of an extraterrestrial origin.

02

Why do people talk about 2027?

Some channeled teachings, including material attributed to Bashar through Darryl Anka, discuss 2027 as significant in relation to humanity's potential contact future. Starkind treats those ideas as a source of inspiration and exploration, not a verified timetable or a guarantee of an event.

03

What about consciousness and manifestation?

One guiding inspiration for Starkind is the idea that attention, intention, and conversation can help make a possibility more present in our shared experience. Whether approached spiritually or practically, we believe thoughtful questions can change what people notice and talk about.

04

What can I do now?

Stay curious. Ask someone a sincere question. Explore information carefully. Think about what a peaceful, constructive future would require of us. We can practice openness and connection today, whatever tomorrow brings.
